KidsOnline partnership team: Dear teacher Reachard, let’s continue our discussion from last post. We know PhamSchool recently introduced the KidsEdu STEM curriculum to most of your classes. What motivated this decision and what are your expectations?
Teacher Reachard: The decision to introduce the KidsEdu STEM program at Pham School stemmed from our commitment to nurturing curiosity and critical thinking in young learners. We recognize that integrating these essential skills early on equips children to tackle future challenges. The program’s hands-on approach aligns perfectly with our educational philosophy, encouraging exploration and problem-solving in a fun and engaging manner. We expect that through STEM activities, children will develop a love for learning, enhancing their creativity and analytical skills. Ultimately, we aim to cultivate inquisitive minds that are ready to innovate and contribute positively to society as they grow.
KidsOnline partnership team: That’s very interesting to know. In your observation, how have teachers and parents responded to the STEM activities?
Teacher Reachard: The response from both teachers and parents to the STEM activities has been overwhelmingly positive at PhamSchool. Parents are thrilled to see their children actively exploring and experimenting, noting the increased engagement in learning. They appreciate the opportunity to witness their kids’ discoveries and enjoy participating in family-oriented STEM events. Teachers also feel supported by the structured lesson plans that accompany the program, allowing them to effectively facilitate learning experiences. This collaborative effort not only enhances children’s understanding of STEM concepts but also strengthens the home-school connection, contributing to a richer educational experience overall.
KidsOnline partnership team: Oh, could you share a memorable moment from using KidsOnline or implementing the STEM program?
Teacher Reachard: One particularly memorable moment at Pham School was when a shy student volunteered to lead a STEM experiment in front of the class. It was heartwarming to see how far she had come, demonstrating newfound confidence and leadership skills. The KidsOnline platform played a pivotal role in this transformation, as it allowed us to track each child’s progress and provide tailored support. This experience highlighted the power of our collaborative efforts in fostering a nurturing and safe environment for all students. Watching her shine in front of her peers inspired us, showcasing the profound impact of our educational initiatives, especially STEM.
